The Wolf Laurel Community

The concept of a Wolf Laurel Resort came into being in the mid ‘60’s with road development, a modest central activity area and seasonal homes. Over the decades, the development has gone through several owners and expanded immensely. The Wolf Laurel community of today is very different from its beginnings and the Wolf Laurel Property Owners Association is looking forward to even greater accomplishments for its residents and the counties of Madison and Yancey.

Wolf Laurel residents of today believe we are a premier community with all the advantages of a vacation resort consisting of a golf course, ski resort, and somewhere in the neighborhood of 750 residential units to include single family homes, condo units, villas and town homes. Many older homes have since been updated for use as year round residences, and yes there are many available and waiting for remodeling. Home values cover a wide spectrum from low 6 figures on up. Home sites, both developed and undeveloped, are available to satisfy every preference and personality in offering many varied views from close mountain to distant mountain ranges. The community of Wolf Laurel covers about 5000 acres over two counties, Madison and Yancey. By agreement, police and fire service and public schools are provided by Madison County. In addition to skiing and golf, there is fishing, hiking, horseback riding, swimming and covered areas for group and children’s activities. Please take time to become familiar with the association bylaws and information furnished on the website.
