Friday Nighters 

Friday Night:  Sounds like a great time to get together with friends and meet new people and have a good time together.  And soooo …the inception of ‘Friday Nighters’. 

The idea of a Friday night event was the idea and came about through the efforts of Sheila Slater.  Speaking with Gwen Vickers, Sheila was a natural at that type of thing.  Over time Friday Nighters grew and was the place to meet and greet.  It was the place to meet new people and it even was the place that sold future owners on deciding that Wolf Laurel was where they wanted to buy and come to spend their summers. What a great tradition. 

Well, that is just exactly what is planned for Friday nights starting May 28 – a time to get together with friends, meet new people and have a good time together. Wolf Laurel Property Owners Association is planning to “Kick Off” the new ‘Friday Nighters’ on May 28, 5:30PM at the pavilion in the Village. 

We will have music and more.  Join us; bring yourselves, a friend, and a  beverage. Your POA will provide the appetizers for this first Friday Nighter. For future Friday Nighters we will all share in bringing an appetizer.  Let’s have a great turn out for the Friday Nighter “Kick Off”.

The planned dates for Friday Nighters 2010 are June 11, 25, July 9, 23, August 13, 27, September 10, 24, October 8, and 22.  Mark you calendar and come with your neighbor, bring your beverage, an appetizer, a banjo, guitar, recorder or whatever and plan to have a fun time.  See you all at the pavilion on the above noted Fridays at 5:30PM.  Don’t forget May 28.  Let’s get the summer off to a great start.  Y’all come now!
